While diving in Vancouver does not offer the versatility and warm waters found in Caribbean scuba diving, it is nonetheless an adventurous and enticing experience. Believe it or not, though the water is far from bath-water temperature, it is surprisingly clear. Vancouver waters are teeming with exotic marine life as well, including octopus, wolf eels and very rare red coral. You might even spot a whale! The two most popular diving areas include Howe Sound and Indian Arm. Another popular spot among visitors is Porteau Cove, home to the Provincial Marine Park, an ARTIFICIAL reef built from old ship hulls and concrete.
