With more than 800 exhibits in thirteen galleries, the Ontario Science Center is the premier venue for all ages to explore the mysteries and amazing discoveries of science. In addition to the numerous exhibits, the OSC is devoted to enhancing the education of local schools, offering a variety of programs.
Some of the highlights of this incredibly large museum include The Human Body, where visitors can explore the workings of nature’s most complex organisms---us! Mindworks deals with the perceptions and interpretations of the mind, the associations between our brains and reality, our thoughts and our actions, and more. Timescape unearths the mysteries of time, with 20 interactive exhibits that allow visitors to touch, measure, and play with the enigmatic enterprise. Also popular is the Omnimax Theatre, showing high-tech films about space and earth, as well as the indoor/outdoor miniature rainforest.
We suggest retrieving a brochure upon entry, as the museum is quite expansive and fairly difficult to navigate. Also, if traveling with the family, it is probably wise to purchase a family pass for $25.00 that includes two adults and two children. Parking is $5.00 on-site.
