NEW YORK MUSEUMS

The Metropolitan Museum of Art
One of the best reasons to visit New York is the chance to see some of the greatest works of art ever created. The city has some of the most famous museums in the world, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art. Many of New York's museums are located on the upper-East Side along Fifth Avenue. Named Museum Mile, this portion of Fifth Avenue runs from 82nd Street all the way to 104th street. Museum Mile 's southern border is defined by the Met, while the Museo del Barrio caps the north. In between these two museums you can find some other notable museums like The Guggenheim, The Jewish Museum and the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum.
