Port Authority Bus Terminal

The Port Authority Bus Terminal, located between Eighth and Ninth Avenues and 40^th to 42^nd Streets, operates over thirty-five bus lines and serves over 50 million people each year. With direct service available to Atlantic City, the Meadowlands, Monmouth Park, and other major points throughout the continental United States, it is the heart and soul of bus transit in the city. New York Transit Authority

The New York Transit Authority (NYCTA) is in charge of operating all buses within New York City. Fare is in the form of tokens or cash (exact change only, however). For more information, please call (718) 330-1234.

The George Washington Bridge Bus Station

The George Washington Bridge Bus Station is located at Fort Washington and Broadway, between 178^th and 179^th Streets. Commuters from northern New Jersey are the prime users of the two bus lines that operate out of the terminal, which connects with the A train at the 175^th Street station.
