Like most major metropolises, London must have its share of theme-generated establishments, and the Sherlock Holmes Pub and Restaurant is just that. Naturally, everything here has some connection to Holmes, Watson, author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, or some other facet of the books and their characters. The pub & restaurant is actually located on the site of the Victorian Northumberland Hotel, where Sir Henry Baskerville stayed when he came to London to visit Holmes and Watson. Despite the over-saturated Sherlock Holmes theme, this place can be a nice place to unwind after a heavy day of touring. Food is better than average and inexpensive. Restaurant open Monday-Thursday – noon to 3:00pm and again from 5.30-10:45pm, Friday-Sunday - noon-10:45pm.
