CIRCUS CIRCUS CASINO HOTEL

 

As Las Vegas attempts to shake off it's nickname of  "Disneyworld for Adults", most casinos are renovating their facilities to bring a sense of refinement and class. (see The Bellagio) In order to be taken seriously too, Circus Circus has removed a lot of it's garish colors and toned down the Crusty the Clown atmosphere. The closest analogy for the renovation would be to say that it's going from Ringling Bros. to Cirque de Soleil.  

This renovation still leaves plenty of room for kids, and kids at heart. According to the Guiness Book of World Records, Circus Circus has the largest permanent circus in the world. Guiness refers to the ongoing acts on the second floor stage, but at one time they could have meant the casino itself. Before a massive renovation, this casino took the circus theme to new heights in bad taste.
